THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Thomas H. "Boe" Young, 87, widower of Mrs. Rose Mae Young, died Wednesday June 28, 2006, in the Thomson Manor Health Care Center.
Graveside services were held 11 a.m. Saturday July 1, 2006, in the Westview Cemetery, with Rev. Jerry Rockefeller officiating.
Mr. Young was a native of McDuffie County and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and retired from McNeill Box Company. Mr. Young was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Mae Vandiver Young; his six children - two infant daughters, and daughters Priscilla Haire and Helen Stephens; two sons Thomas William Young and James T. Young.
He is survived by three sisters, Sue Raburn of Wrens, Bobbie Holloway of Thomson and Edith Poe of Thomson; a brother, Jack Young of Thomson; eight grandchildren, Julie Chance of Thomson, Linda Griswell of Evans, Kathy Sapp of Martinez, Dee Haire of Appling, Angela Markley of Thomson, Pamela Workman of Thomson, Paula Kitchens of Thomson and Brenda Johnson of Warrenton; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Curtis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
