Mrs. Blanche S. Guillebeau

HARLEM, Ga. - Mrs. Blanche S. Guillebeau, 89, entered into rest Friday, July 1, 2005 in the McDuffie Regional Medical Center, Thomson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brantley F. Guillebeau in 1984 and granddaughter, Sheila K. Guillebeau in 1992.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 4, 2005, at 11 a.m. at Harlem Baptist Church with Dr. Robert Blankenship officiating. Burial was in the Harlem Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Guillebeau was the first kindergarten teacher in Harlem. She was a member of Harlem Baptist Church for more than 70 years, teacher and member of the TEL Class and WMU director. She loved her Lord and Savior, her family and her church. She will truly be missed.
Pallbearers were Gary Holley, Terry Carter, Ken Sweatman, Scott Dean, Bob Brown and Ken Corley. Additional survivors include a daughter, Frances (Hoyt) Hobgood, McDonough, GA; two sons, John Edward (Venera) Guillebeau and Robert Dannie (Susan) Guillebeau, both of Harlem; six grandchildren, Harold Quinn, III, Nancy Lefever, Vickie Lajesse, Anthony Guillebeau and David Guillebeau and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Georgia Baptist Children's Home, P.O. Box 329, Palmetto, GA 30268.
