WRENS, Ga.- Mr. Moses Shelton, 87, of Wrens, beloved husband of Betty Chalker Shelton entered into rest Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at the VA Hospital.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Wrens Church of God with the Rev. Terry Addis officiating. Burial followed in the Jefferson Memorial Garden Cemetery.
Mr. Shelton served in the U.S. Army and WW II; he retired from his own business, Shelton's Saws & Mowers, and was a member of the Wrens Church of God.
Other survivors include one daughter, Angie Journell, St. Louis, Mo.; two stepsons and daughter-in-laws, Ray A. and Carla Lampp, Boneville, and Stevie and Wendy Lampp, Thomson; one sister, Mildred Coxwell, Wrens; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Abe Shelton, Roger Coxwell, Thomas Shelton, James Shelton, Dwight Shelton, Ronnie Shelton, Detroit Amerson and John May.
