Bigger is better when you talk to Thomson High Athletic director and head football coach Luther Welsh about the school's new athletic complex.

"We'll have more room and better facilities. We weren't big enough for PE and athletics where we are now. This will take care of that," he said. "The regular PE students didn't have enough room to dress. We had to put two people to a locker in out football locker rooms."
While there is currently sanding and finishing, painting and building going on, Welsh said the expected completion date of the nearly 19,000-foot complex is July 19.
"Everything is larger at the new place," Welsh said. "The training room will be up to date and twice as big. The new complex will also have a gymnasium there and it, coupled with the existing gym, will allow us to have two sports holding practices and activities at the same time."
