"The Snake Master" Steve Scruggs entertained more than 300 children and parents last Friday as part of the Summer Reading Program at the Thomson-McDuffie County Library.
Local Librarian Suzan Harris said more than 600 children have joined the program this summer, and the library is averaging around 220 patrons during the day and more than 50 every Tuesday and Thursday night.
