WARRENTON, Ga. - Ms. Shirley Battle entered into rest Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at McDuffie Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at 1 p.m. at the Trinity A.M.E. Church, with Rev. Christopher Andrews serving as eulogist. Interment was in the Society Cemetery.
Survivors include her beloved mother and stepfather, Rev. Rose Reynolds and Mr. George W. Reynolds; two sons, Blake M. Battle and Christopher T. Walker; four sisters, Mrs. Gloria Burley, Mrs. Lillie Harris, Mrs. Betty Gilliam, Mrs. Shelia Dawson, of Warrenton; two brothers, Mr. Julian Battle of Lithonia, Ga., Mr. Michael Mathis of Ft. Jackson, S.C.; one stepbrother, Mr. Gregory Collins of Atlanta; two stepsisters, Mrs. Lynette Scott and Ms. Jennifer Reynolds of Thomson.
Dawson's Mortuary was in charge of funeral arrangements.
