THOMSON, Ga. - Funeral service for Mr. James "Jim" Williams, 85, of Thomson, was held Friday July 6, 2007, at 1 p.m. at the Cody Grove Baptist Church in Warrenton, with the Rev. Robert Carter officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Survivors are: wife, Ida Mae Carter Williams, Thomson; daughter, Dorothy Crenshaw, Dalton; two sons, David Lee (Josephine) Williams, and Leon Williams; two brothers, Tommy C. (Eunice) Williams, and J.T. Williams all of Thomson; three sisters-in-law, Dora Williams, Thomson, Hattie Gaston, Vidalia, Ga., and Brenda Williams, Atlanta; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
