THOMSON, Ga. - Funeral services for Mr. Marion "Tip" Gibson, 52, of Thomson, were held on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the New Zion Hill A.M.E. Church with Rev. Lathan Mills officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Survivors are six sisters, Mary Gibson, Betty (Kenneth) Brinson, Tonya Durham, Debra (Dennis) McNair, all of Thomson, Sylvia (Lorenzo) Collins of Augusta and Vickie Gibson of South Carolina; three brothers, James Gibson, Gregory Gibson and Mark Gibson, all of Thomson; two aunts, Georgia Mae Jones, Thomson and Lizzie Overstreet of Augusta; one uncle, Daniel Gibson of Harlem; other relatives and friends.
Thomson Funeral System on was in charge of arrangements.
