THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Kay Pearson Jones, 53, of Thomson, entered into rest July 2, 2006, at University Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Kenneth L. Jones.
Mrs. Jones was born in McDuffie County, Georgia and was the daughter of the late John Pearson and the late Ruby Cheely Pearson. She was a 1970 Graduate of Warren County High School and graduated from Augusta College with a degree in Nursing. She was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church where she served as church pianist. The things she enjoyed most were playing piano and working with flowers. She was also a dedicated wife and mother.
Survivors include, husband, Kenneth L. Jones, Thomson; daughters, Emily Jones Holley ( H. Earle), Aiken, Katherine Marie Jones, Thomson; brother, John E. Pearson, Jr., Thomson; sister, Jeanelle Pearson Wiley, Crane, Mo.
Funeral services were held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at Macedonia United Methodist Church with Rev. David Sisler officiating. Interment followed in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Wendell Amerson, Rodney Cook, Jimmy Waller, Mike Shelton, Henry Lee Taylor and Henry Fluker. Honorary Pallbearers were J. T. McCorkle and Warren Adams, Jr. and Ronnie Johnson.
Memorials may be made to the Macedonia United Methodist Church Building Fund or the American Cancer Society.
