College bound: Two Bulldogs sign hoops scolarships for next level

Bookie Reese, a point guard for the Thomson Bulldog Round Dogs, inked a pact with Carver Bible College in Atlanta last week. The three-year starter for Thomson averaged 16.8 points a game for Thomson last year. Present at the signing was Reese's godmother, Lastasha Johnson, Jr., and THS coach Michael Thomas.

Dantavious Lowe, a center on Thomson High School's basketball team, signed a four-year scholarship with Paine College last week. Mr. Lowe averaged 19.9 points and 8.7 rebounds a game for the Dogs last year. Thomson coach Michael Thomas said Lowe would probably play forward for the Lions. With Lowe at the signing was his mom Patricia Lowe, his grandmother Willie Mae Lowe and THS coach Michael Thomas.
