Knox weds Anderson in May ceremony at First Methodist

Caroline Middleton Knox and Kristian John Anderson were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, May 31, 2008, at First United Methodist Church in Thomson. Rev. Samuel Hill Coker and Rev. Thomas Alfred Kerr officiated.

Caroline is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hall Knox of Thomson. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Tomlinson of Stone Mountain, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Edward Knox of Thomson. Caroline attended Thomson High School, the University of Georgia and the University of Georgia School of Law. She will begin as an associate in September at Troutman Sanders LLP in Atlanta.

Kristian is the son of Mrs. Ingrid Marie Anderson of Brunswick. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Franklin Anderson of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and St. Simons Island. Kristian is a graduate of Glynn Academy and the University of Georgia. Presently, he is employed by Site Solutions LLC in Atlanta as a landscape architect.

Given in marriage by her father, Caroline chose her friend Kyle Orr Hinson of Atlanta as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Anne Michelmann Daigh of Nashville, Tenn., friend of the bride, Mary Ann Knox Cross of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Margaret Knox Wallace of Atlanta, both cousins of the bride.

Kristian chose his friend, Robert Harry Kent II of St. Simons Island, as his best man. Groomsmen were Geoffrey Reese Walton of Athens, and Michael Dean Norris of Memphis, Tennessee, friends of the groom, and Andrew Hall Knox, Jr., of Augusta, brother of the bride.

Greeters were Robert Edward Knox, Jr., Donald Thomas McNeill and William Donald Tomlinson, uncles of the bride, and James Ira Alfriend, family friend of the bride.

Musicians were Jeanie Evans Joesbury, Elizabeth Knox Hopkins, and Sandra Newman Prichard.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Belle Meade Country Club in Thomson. The couple will honeymoon in Santorini, Greece, and will reside in Atlanta.
