McDuffie Regional Medical Center recently recognized Dietary Technician Katrice Battle as its June Golden Heart Winner.

Not a day goes by that Katrice doesn't show a big smile. She always has a positive attitude no matter what the situation may be, her supervisor said.
"Katrice has been a great asset to the Dietary Department and MRMC," said Dietary Director Karl Greene. "Her soft spoken ways and kind heart make her a pleasure to work with."
When associates call for orders from the kitchen, Katrice would see to it that the job was done.
"I can recall a time when Senior Leadership was hosting a luncheon for all associates at Christmas," said Marketing Director Debbie Jones. "She would run back and forth from the kitchen with all of the necessary items requested by them. Not once did she comment on any inconvenience, even though she had to make sure that her patient trays were taken care of as well!"
Mrs. Jones said Katrice is someone who's behind the scenes making sure that all of the associates and patients are fed.
"When I think of someone who truly has a ‘Golden Heart,' I would consider Katrice Battle to be that person," she said.
