HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Mr. Hoyt James Murray of Windsor Springs Road, Hephzibah died Monday, July 10, 2006 at McDuffie Regional Medical Center in Thomson.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at 3 p.m. at New Work Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Davis officiating. Interment followed in the Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Murray was a native of Banks County and a former resident of Lincoln County. He was a United States Army veteran and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors are daughters, Crystal Corey, Lincolnton, Beverly Kitchens, Warrenton; son, Shane Kent, Dearing; brothers, Swain Murray, Lincolnton, John Robert Murray, Thomson; sisters, Lucille Blakey, Lincolnton, Nancy Langham, Thomson, Joanne Barden, Lincolnton, Hope Poss, Augusta, Bobbie Looper, Augusta; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jack Corey, Brad Kitchens, Dennis Parks, Sr., Clem Sutton, Mike Barden, and Jay Hawkins.
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
