AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Emil "Curley" Klozer, 80, loving husband of Janelle Frederick Klozer, entered into rest on Friday, July 15, 2005 at his residence.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at 4 p.m. in Westover Memorial Park with the Dr. Michael Ruffin and Rev. Robert Frederick officiating.
Mr. Klozer served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from International Paper. He was a member of Hill Baptist Church and The Emanuel Sunday School Class.
Family members, in addition to his beloved wife of 60 years, include one son, Michael F. Klozer (Nancy) of Martinez; one daughter, Jeane Klozer-Reese (Wayne) of Martinez; two granddaughters, Jennifer L. Blanchard (Grady) of Evans, Becky Smith of Thomson; two grandsons, Jason Klozer of Martinez, Wayne Reese, Jr. (Paula) of Dearing; two great-granddaughters, Emerson Leigh Blanchard of Evans, Amanda Smith of Thomson; two great-grandsons, Tyler and Trevor Reese of Dearing; one sister, Francis Hutto of Augusta; and a number of nephews and nieces.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Hill Baptist Church, 2165 Kings Way, Augusta, GA 30904, or The St. Joseph Hospice, 2260 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, GA 30904.
Platt's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
