APPLING, Ga. - Funeral services for Mrs. Gussie Mae Cummings, 67, of Appling, were held on Sunday, July 20, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the First Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Appling, with Rev. Roscoe F. Perry officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Willie Lewis Cummings, Appling; two sons, Richard (Tamara) Cummings, Douglasville and Willie Lee Cummings, Appling; four daughters, Diarene Paschal, Annette Paschal, and Shirley Cummings, all of Augusta, Tabitha Cummings (Willie Green); a very special grandson, Kendrick Cummings, all of Harlem; three brothers Robert Paschal, Chattanooga, Tenn., John Henry Paschal, Clinton Ramsey, II, both of Appling; six sisters, Inez Scott, Gary, Ind., Annie Rickerson, Martha Crawford, Mary (Richard) Willingham, Lucille (Edward) Jones, all of Appling, Ethel Mae Garnett, Dearing; brother-in-law, John Albert Cummings, Thomson; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four aunts; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and other friends.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
