AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Lois Linder Mertins, 76, wife of the late Edwin Carl Mertins, Jr. entered into rest Friday, July 20, 2007, at her residence.
Mrs. Mertins was a native of Walterboro, S.C. She was a retired office manager with Dr. Gordon Walters and was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection.
Family members include her sons, Edwin Carl "Chip" Mertins III and wife, Tammy, of Thomson, David Brian Mertins of Augusta; daughters, Sharon Black and husband, Bill, of Buford, Ga., Sandra Mason and husband, Miles, of Duluth, Ga.; sisters, Harriett Craven of Walterboro, S.C., Shirley Cooper of Walterboro, S.C., Margaret Symynkywicz of Woonsocket, R.I.; and four grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services were held Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Westover Memorial Park with Pastor David Hunter officiating.
Thomas Poteet and Son Funeral Directors were in charge of arrangements.
