STAPLETON , Ga. - Mrs. Christine Phillips, 82, wife of the late George Phillips, entered into rest Monday, July 17, 2006, at Athens Regional Medical Center, Inc.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 20, 2006, at 4 p.m. at Reedy Creek Baptist Church with Rev. John Jenkins and Rev. Kenneth Jones officiating.
Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker and a member of the Reedy Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, two sons, Randy Phillips and A.G. (Joyce) Phillips; a daughter, Catherine (Reggie) Phillips; two brothers, Louis Thigpen and Melvin Thigpen; one sister, Ellen Wren; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Lester Allen, Jack Terry, Lee Roy Usry, Jimmy Rivers, Dennis Robertson and Marvin Reese.
James Funeral Home in Wrens was in charge of the arrangements.
