BATH, S.C. - Mr. Guy T. Grimes, husband of the late Mrs. Thelma "Coot" Cleckley Grimes, of Bath, S.C., entered into rest on Tuesday, July 19, 2005.
Surviving is a daughter and her husband, Sheron and George Rutkowski, of Thomson, GA; three grandchildren and their spouses, Susan and Britt Enfinger, Dianna and W. C. Grimes and Laura Rutkowski and two great grandchildren, Chase Enfinger and Drew Grimes.
Mr. Grimes was born in Twin City, Ga., to the late James T. and Nettie Joyner Grimes. He was an U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He was a retired supervisor for J. M. Huber with 37 years of service. Mr. Grimes was a member of the Albert Pike Masonic Lodge #174 A.F.M. for fifty years and a member of Langley United Methodist Church and the Young at Heart group. The family said, 'He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather'.
Funeral services were held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frank Copeland officiating. Interment followed in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Danny Boyd, Hixon Boyd, Charles Grimes, Eddie Chalker, Ronald Cleckley, Jr., Ronell Smith and Morgan Hall. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Albert Pike Masonic Lodge #174 AFM.
