STAPLETON, Ga. - Mrs. Marie J. Hobbs, 90, entered into rest July 19, 2005, at the residence.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. at Reedy Creek Baptist Church with Revs. John Jenkins and Kenneth Jones officiating. Burial followed in the Reedy Creek Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Hobbs was a member of Reedy Creek Baptist Church, and a retired seamstress from Stapleton Garment Company.
She is survived by a son, Philip (Harriett) McGahee; a brother, George Jenkins; a sister, Essie Ruth Morris; 6 Grandchildren, Pam McGahee, Chris McGahee, Jeff McGahee, Phil McGahee,III, Debbie Shugart, Angie Virella; 15 great-grandchildren and, one great, great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Oliver Hobbs and her son Esli McGahee.
Pallbearers were Phil McGahee, Chris McGahee, Andy Virella, Eric Shugart, Edward Gay and Charlie Jenkins.
James Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
