Dear Editor,
I would like to express my appreciation to each of you for electing and supporting me as your coroner.
It is with regret that after four and one-half years as McDuffie County Coroner I tender my resignation. While this is a decision reached for personal reasons, it is most difficult to leave a job which has meant so much to me. It is not something that I do lightly. Therefore, effective Aug. 5, 2005, I am resigning my position as your coroner.
I regret leaving very faithful and loyal citizens, but the changes taking place in my personal life require this action. I have grown personally and professionally during my tenure as McDuffie County Coroner.
I would like to thank the citizens of McDuffie County for the opportunity to serve my community.
I sincerely hope that we will all continue to grow in the future.
