During lunch, everyone was entertained by "October's Finest," a local band of young people made up of Andrew Brown, T.J. Mimbs, Ben Porter and Taylor Carrington.
After lunch, a brief history of the Foundation and recently awarded grants was provided by Tad Brown, President of the Foundation. Mary Anne Coussons, director of the scholarship program, quoted words of wisdom according to Dr. Seuss, "Congratulations, Today is Your Day!" She also outlined important information about this year's scholars, their careers and diverse schools chosen throughout Georgia and the United States.
She then introduced the current Watson-Brown Junior Board of Trustees and paid special tribute to the five graduating seniors -- Jenni Holes, LeAnn Walton, T.J. Mimbs, Andrew Brown and Ben Porter.
At the conclusion of the luncheon, all were invited to visit the Foundation headquarters and grounds.
