LINCOLNTON, Ga.- Mr. Paul Watson Prater, 58, of Lincolnton, died Wed. July 21 at Athens Regional Medical Center, Athens, Tenn.
Graveside services were held Friday, July 23 at 6 p.m. at Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Robert D. Adams officiating. Mr. Prater, a lifelong resident of Lincoln County, was a dairy nutritionist and cattle farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam. Mr. Prater, a member of Goshen Baptist Church most of his life, was a Deacon and Sunday school teacher. His father, Fred Robert Prater and his son, Cullars Reed Prater, preceded Mr. Prater in death.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alicia Reed Prater; daughter, Mrs. Hugh Alan (Elizabeth Prater) Arthur, Jr., Lincolnton; mother, Mrs. Frances Cullars Prater, Lincolnton; sister, Mrs. Kathryn Prater Robinson, Washington; brother, Page Robert Prater, Thomson; grandson, Hugh Alan Arthur III.
Pallbearers were Watson Guillebeau, David Guillebeau, Mark Guillebeau, Louis Robinson, Page R. Prater II, John David Flanigan, Walter Palmer and Larry Campbell.
