'Ma Black' celebrates 105th birthday with friends, family

Fronie Bell Black from Grange Community, known by all her family and friends as "Ma Black," celebrated her 105th birthday on May 9, 2007. Her children and grandchildren came together on Wednesday evening to help celebrate with a pig-picking. Then, on Sunday, her family came together again to celebrate Mother's Day with an old fashioned barbecue. Out of town family members came from North Carolina, Kentucky, Myrtle Beach, S.C., Charleston S.C., Florida, Atlanta, Acworth, Canton, Lawrenceville, Athens, Vidalia, North Augusta and Evans.
Mrs. Black told some of the guest as they were leaving, "I'll see you again next year."
