THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. James E. Phelps Jr., 53, died Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at his residence.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 28 in the Camak United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Dr. James Ramsey officiating.
Mr. Phelps was a native of Baldwin County, but had lived in Thomson for many years. He was retired from CSX and had served in the National Guard.
Survivors include his daughter, Ge Gee Guy; his mother, Gloria Hicks Phelps, Thomson; two brothers, Thomas "Tommy" Martin Phelps, Steven "Steve" Hicks Phelps, both of Thomson; and a friend, Ann Meadows Kennedy of Thomson.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
