SAUTEE NACOOCHEE, Ga. - Mr. Allen Clayton Swann, age 61, of Sautee Nacoochee, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2007, at his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Swann was born in Augusta, the son of the late Raymond Maxwell Swann and Macy Wells Swann. He was a former resident of Alpharetta, where he was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Swann, Alpharetta; sons and daughters-in-law, Clay and Pam Swann, Glen and Deana Swann, all of North Augusta, S.C., Ray and Heather Swann, Sautee Nacoochee; son, Alton Swann, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Craig Everidge, Macon, Tina and Mark Swann, Thomson; daughter, Tara Etheredge, Alpharetta; sister, Brenda Barrett, Athens; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond M. and Linda Swann, Thomson; and 17 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2007, at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis Turner and Mr. Bill Sanders officiated. Graveside Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday July 30, 2007, at Westover Memorial Park in Augusta with Dr. Jim Ramsey officiating.
Barrett Funeral Home of Cleveland and Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home of North Augusta, SC., were in charge of arrangements.
