THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Martha Dawson Wilcher, 78, of Thomson, entered into rest, July 26, 2007.
She was the beloved wife of the late William Royce Wilcher. Mrs. Wilcher was born in Glascock County and was the daughter of the late J.W. Dawson and the late Ollie Mae Hughes Jones. She retired as a hairdresser.
Funeral services were held at graveside at the Mitchell United Methodist Church Cemetery in Mitchell, Ga., on Monday, July 30, 2007, at 10 a.m., with Rev. Ken Jackson officiating.
Pallbearers were William Wilcher, Hal Wheeler, Kenneth Hall, Jim Rivers, Bud Lunsford and James Ruff.
Survivors include: son, Derrick K. Wilcher and his wife Judith, Montgomery, AL.; grandchildren, Shannon J. Baxter Jr., Sarah A. Baxter, Lorin A. Beier, and Emma K. Wilcher; great-grandchild: Grantham J. Baxter.
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
