Radio show celebrates first anniversary

Dear Editor,

July 23, 2007, marked the first anniversary of the extension of our "Faithful Words" broadcast into the Thomson listening area. The Christians in fellowship at Gospel Chapel in Avera would hereby express thanks to you for your part toward introducing the program to your readers in mid 2006.

The first telephone response to the broadcast was from a passing truck driver from Tennessee. Then, there was a gentleman from the Thomson area who visited a Sunday evening gospel meeting at Gospel Chapel. We trust there are many other regular listeners to this program of sound and sober Bible teaching each Sunday at 12:30 p.m. on WTHO-FM 101.7. Since the cost for the radio time is paid by the Christian Fellowship at Gospel Chapel, listeners may freely respond for discussion or for free Christian literature, etc., without fear of solicitation or appeals for money.

The primary purpose of this broadcast is to make our Lord Jesus Christ and His great and exclusive salvation clearly known. Our desire is to see many more individuals come to trust the Lord Jesus as their personal Savior. If further help in spiritual matters is desired, readers of this column, as well as listeners to the broadcast are invited to call 706-547-6276.
