Sgt. James Ondra Kinlow
BAGHDAD, Iraq - Funeral services for Sgt. James Ondra Kinlow, 35, of Thomson, were held Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2005, at First Baptist Church in Lincolnton, with Rev. Dennis J. Quinn officiating. Interment followed in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
Sgt. Kinlow was a native of Fort Myers, Fla., but grew up in Lincolnton, where he was a 1988 graduate of Lincoln County High School. He was a member of the Georgia Army Reserve National Guard 2/121st Infantry, a member of First Baptist Church in Lincolnton and a member of Pleasant Hill Masonic Lodge #6 in Lincolnton. He was employed by Allen Freight Services of Jacksonville, Fla. as a truck driver.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving family and a devoted wife, Mrs. Daphanie F. Kinlow, Thomson; children, Chauncey and Chelsea, Thomson; parents, Alchester and Carrie M. Kinlow, Lincolnton; sister, Sophia Kinlow, Lincolnton; special niece, Kendra Kinlow, Lincolnton; three brothers, Alchester Kinlow, Jr., Greenwood, S.C., Julius Kinlow, Virginia, and James Willie Johnson, Jacksonville, Fla.; godsons, Xavier Hill and Jazquez Hearst; goddaughter, Jasmine Flournay; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Norris W. Gunby, Sr. Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
