Wilson to wed Smith in November ceremony

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Norman Wilson, Jr., of Thomson are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Martha Delle Wilson to Clayton Scott Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Clayton Smith of Charlotte, N.C.

The wedding is planned for November 8, 2008, at the bride's parent's home in Thomson.

Miss Wilson is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Glenn Trammell of Friendswood, Tex., and Mr. Robert Norman Wilson and the late Mrs. Robert Norman Wilson of Thomson. She is the goddaughter of Mrs. John Watson Wilson and the late Mr. John Watson Wilson of Thomson. She is a graduate of Thomson High School and University of Georgia where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She received a bachelor of science in nursing from the Medical College of Georgia in 2002 and in 2006 she received her masters of science with focus in anesthesia from Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia. Currently, she is a certified registered nurse of anesthesia for Nashville General Hospital.

Mr. Smith is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Smith of Charlotte, N.C. and Mrs. Helen Hess Garvey of Lebanon, Ohio and the late Mr. Charles Scott Garvey of Louisville, KY. Scott graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He received a bachelor of arts in communications in 2003. Scott was a scholarship student athlete and played professional golf on the South American and Canadian PGA Tour's prior to going to work for Coca-Cola Consolidated Bottling Company in 2005. He is currently the on-premise sales account manager for Coca-Cola Consolidated and lives in Nashville, Tenn.
