EVANS, Ga. - Mrs. Cora Asalee (Williams) McTier, 90, beloved wife of the late Thomas Lee McTier, entered into rest Friday, August 5, 2005 in the University Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, August 8, 2005 in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Jones officiating. Burial was in the Reedy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Stapleton.
Mrs. McTier was a native of Jefferson County. She was a homemaker and a member of Reedy Creek Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Bessie Swann and Harmon T. Williams.
Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Duke and husband, Ellis, Tyler, Texas, and Jenny Mosley and husband, Ted, Martinez; her two sons, John McTier and wife, Ann, Evans, and Jim McTier and wife, Annette, Martinez; one sister, Mrs. Elva Williams Sheppard, Louisville; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ben McTier, Ted Mosley, Teddy Mosley, Charlie Lass, James (Zack) Patrick and Frank Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Reedy Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 1128 Reedy Creek Church Road, Stapleton, GA 30823.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
