Mr. Marion L. Reid, Sr. U.S. Army Veteran THOMSON, Ga.-- Mr. Marion L. Reid, Sr., 82, husband of Mrs. Margie Street Reid, of Thomson, entered into rest August 3, 2004, at the VA Medical Center, Augusta. Memorial services were held at 3 p.m. Friday August 6, 2004, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5589 Wrightsboro Road, Grovetown, with Harold Carter officiating. Mr. Reid, a native of Richmond County, was a retired carpenter and a member of the Local Carpenters Union #283. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Margie S. Reid; one son, Marion L. Reid, Jr., of Harlem; one daughter, Lynda Smith, of Griffin; one brother, David Reid, of Augusta and five grandchildren. Web posted on Thursday, August 12, 2004
