Randolph and Ola Ivey of Warrenton announce the engagement of their son, Randy Ivey of Warrenton, to Shonte Harris of Covington, daughter of Linda Jackson of Columbus, Ohio.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Eary and the late Rufus Strickland of Savannah. She is a 2002 graduate of Clark Atlanta University. She is employed as a middle grades mathematics teacher.
The future groom is the grandson of the late Blanche B. Ivey and the late Samuel D. Ivey of Warrenton. The grandson of Gertie B. Johnson of Brooklyn, New York. He is a graduate of Phillips College with a degree in business. He is employed as an assistant retail manager.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 6, 2007, in Covington.
