Mayor Knox encouraged council members to "keep the train running."
Already this week, Mayor Pro-Tem Kenneth Usry has announced his political intent to seek the office of mayor.
None of the other council members have made their intentions known at this time - at least publicly.
Candidates wishing to qualify for mayor must pay a qualifying fee of $210, while those seeking a council seat must pay a qualifying fee of $120.
