APPLING, Ga. - Homegoing funeral service for Mrs. Mary Ella Green, 64, of Appling, was held on Monday, August 13, 2007, at 1 p.m. at the Walnut Grove Baptist Church, Appling, with the Rev. Elijah Barnes, Jr., officiating. Interment was in the churchyard cemetery.
Survivors include a loving husband, George Wesley Green, Appling; six children, Deloris Green, Martinez, Helena Green, Grovetown, Lorene Perry, Martinez, Dennis (Joyce) Green, Augusta, Sherry L. Terry, Orangeburg, SC, Curtis E. (Jennifer) Green, Augusta; two stepdaughters, Evelyn (Charlie) Green, Augusta, Linda S. Benning, Appling; eight siblings, Cora J. Willingham and Lillian (John) Parks, Lincolnton, Annie J. Willingham, Little Rock, Ark., Francis M. Evans and Jennie Dent, both of Augusta, Granville Willingham, Lincolnton, Henry L. England, Augusta and Rufus (Roberta) England, Evans; four sisters-in-law, Annie Bell Garnett, Catherine Green, Carol Green and Minnie Green; two brothers-in-law, Hezekiah (Effie B.) Green and Cornelius (Janie M.) Green; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and sorrowing friends.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
