THOMSON, Ga. - Funeral service for Mr. Auther R. "Pete" King, 68, of Thomson was held on Tuesday, August 14, 2007, at 3 p.m. at The Greater St. James A.M.E. Church with the Rev. Luther Rogers officiating. Interment was in New Zion Hill A.M.E. Church Cemetery.
Survivors include a devoted and dear friend, Helen J. Baldwin; three sons, Arthur (Elizabeth) King, Washington, Donny King, Detroit, Mich., and Spencer (Jackie) Thompson, Philadelphia, Pa.; two sisters, Annie R. Covington and Rosie (Nate) Bruce, all of Philadelphia, Pa.; two brothers, Brady King, Philadelphia, Pa. and Leroy (Evelyn) King, Thomson; two aunts, Nellie Kendrick, Columbus, Ohio and Sara Cox, Thomson; one uncle, Luther Stockton, Sr., Augusta; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
