Mrs. Gladys Virginia Neal Johnson

THOMSON, GA - Mrs. Gladys Virginia Neal Johnson, of Thomson, entered into rest August 8, 2006, at Doctors Hospital, Augusta.

She was born February 3, 1925 to the late Deacon Florence and Odie Lee Neal in Warren County. A brother, Joe Murray, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Johnson was a faithful member of Stamp Branch Baptist Church, serving as president of the choir and deaconess for a number of years.

She married Deacon Eulie B. Johnson Sr. on July 25, 1942. To this union, two sons, Eulie B. Jr. and Leroy, were born.

Left to cherish her memories are a loving husband, Deacon Eulie B. Johnson Sr., two sons, Eulie B. (Lona) and Leroy (Alene) Johnson; two devoted sisters, Lillie Mae (Rev. George T.) Harris and Louise Butler; sisters-in-law, Azzie Lee Harris and Janie Mae (Herman) Allen; Etta Tillery and June Johnson; and numberous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at Stamp Branch Baptist Church in Warrenton on Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 1 p.m. Rev. R.L. Martin officiated.

Pinkston-Roberts Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
