AUGUSTA, Ga. - Homegoing services for Deacon Willie E. Lazenby of Augusta, were celebrated on Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Thomson, with Rev. Ronald G. Toney officiating. Interment was in the Lazenby family cemetery.
Survivors are one son, Roy "Bo" Wiley of Las Vegas, NV; one daughter, Michelle Carter of Augusta; one brother, Johnny (Juanita) Lazenby, Sr. of Maywood, Ill.; three sisters, Eunice E. (Tommy) Williams, Thomson, Rubye Taylor, Chicago, Ill. and Rose (Johnny, Sr.) Warthen, Webster, Fla.; devoted nephew, Solomon Lazenby, Jr.; devoted niece, Velvet Lazenby; a special niece, Wykisha Martin, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
