Mrs. Edna Pate Whitaker THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Edna Pate Whitaker, 72, wife of the late Lloyd Vernon Whitaker, Jr., entered into rest August 8, 2005 at her residence. Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Starling Funeral Home with Harold E. Carter officiating. Interment was in the Harlem Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Whitaker was a native of Columbia County and a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses in Thomson. Survivors include her mother, Katherine Pate, Dearing; one son, Lloyd V. Whitaker, III; one brother, Milton Pate, Dearing; two sisters, Cindy Bryan, Dearing, and Annette Keller, Martinez. Additional survivors include two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
