DEARING, Ga. - Mr. Thomas Wayne Hooks of Dearing, entered into rest August 8, 2005.
Survivors include his mother, Betty Baker, Dearing; son, Adam Hooks, Houston, Texas; stepson and wife, Chris and Corina Byers, Houston; grandson, Ethan; sister and her husband, Gerry and Burlee Frazier, Augusta; niece, Jennifer Simpson (Brian), Augusta; nephew, Hank Mills, III, Martinez; aunts, uncles, cousins and the mother of his children, Cindy Hooks, Houston.
Mr. Hooks was born in Americus and was the son of the late Billy T. Hooks. He was a 1971 graduate of ARC where he was active in football and attended the University of Georgia. Mr. Hooks was also a sales representative for Bank Card Depot and a Methodist by faith.
Memorial services were held at 3 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2005 at Salem United Methodist Church with Rev. Leo Carpenter and Key Kernagan officiating.
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
