Mrs. Irene Hunter Lewis Retired Postal Clerk CRAWFORDVILLE, Ga. - Mrs. Irene Hunter Lewis, 87, beloved wife of the late Lester C. Lewis, 188 Commerce Street, entered into rest Sunday, August 7, 2005 at McDuffie Regional Medical Center, Thomson. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday August 10, 2005 at the Powelton Baptist Church, Hancock County, with Rev. Jeff Bishop officiating. Burial followed in the Powelton Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be made to the Powelton Cemetery Fund, c/o Mrs. Jackie Butts, 4316 Sparta Road, SE , Crawfordville, GA 30631. Lowe Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
