Mrs. Shirley Cato

THOMSON, Ga.- Mrs. Shirley Cato, 57, widow of Mr. Lee Roy Cato, Sr., of Thomson, died Thursday, August 12, 2004, at her residence.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 14, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Sutphin officiating. Burial was in the Westview Cemetery.

Mrs. Cato was a native of Wilkes County, but had lived in Thomson for many years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Scarlett Brown, Thomson; her two sons, Lee Roy Cato, Jr. and David Cato, both of Thomson; her mother, Frances Turner, Thomson; her three sisters, Elizabeth Quaterman, Savannah, Sandra Price and Cynthia Withrow, both of Thomson; her three brothers, William Turner, Raymond Turner and Jimmy Turner, all of Thomson; three grandchildren and a great-niece, Lindsey Turner.

Pallbearers were Greg Grant, Tommy Cole, Jack Smallwood, Leon Cato, Tommy Cato and Teddy Reese.
