Booster Club plans for new sign at stadium

The Brickyard is getting a new sign.

The Thomson High School Booster Club is working to put in a large sign in front of the Thomson High School Stadium.

"It's going to be awesome," said Jeff Cowart, president of the booster club.

The sign will be available for community messages and also display the time and temperature. It will be controlled from a workstation at the Board of Education offices.

To help pay for the sign, the boosters need 18 $1,000 sponsors. They already have 16 and interested parties can contact Ralph Starling at 597-8500.

Thomson High School Principal Rudy Falana said the new sign should be up and running in the next few weeks.
