Mrs. Gwinnette Dixon Lewis
Homemaker

WRENS, Ga. - Mrs. Gwinnette Dixon Lewis, 69, beloved wife of Mr. G. I. Lewis of Lakeview Drive, died Tuesday, August 12, 2008, at her residence.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. August 15, 2008, at the Praising Him Ministries Church in Wrens, with the Revs. Charles Price and Richard Stavely officiating. Burial followed in the Wrens Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Lewis, a native and lifelong resident of Jefferson County, was the daughter of the late Mr. L. R. Dixon, Sr., and Ada Rhodes Dixon. She was a homemaker and a member of Praising Him Ministries Church.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, G. I. Lewis of Wrens, one daughter, Kelli Lewis (Clint) Waller of Thomson, one son, Lee Lewis, of Stapleton, five grandchildren, William Issac Lewis, Gilbert Lewis, Jr., Justin Waller, Olivia Waller and Sydney Waller, one sister, Ivelyn D. Gibson, of Weatherford, Tex., three brothers, L. R. Dixon, Jr. of Dawsonville, Ga., James Dixon of Augusta, and Robert Dixon of North. Augusta, S.C.

Pallbearers were Stephen Curry, Chris Dixon, Michael Dixon, Greg Lewis, Walker Lewis, Jr., and Ike Lewis.
