THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Gary M. Cox, 48, beloved husband of Cindy Cox, died Wednesday, August 16, 2006, in the Medical College of Georgia Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 19, 2006, in the Pine Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. Patrick DeVane and Rev. Butch Baston officiating. Burial followed in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Chris Adams, Mathew Caldwell, Mike Conner, Ray Hitt, Bill Hall, and Ricky McDuffie.
Mr. Cox was a native of Chatham County, but had lived in Thomson for many years. He was the owner of Anthony Auto Sales in Thomson, and attended Pine Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by wife, Cindy McDuffie Cox of Thomson; daughter, Elizabeth Cox of North Augusta; step-son, Jonathon Pardue of Thomson; parents, William and Thelma Cox of Thomson; three brothers, John Cox of Wadley, Larry Cox of Waynesboro, and William Cox of Augusta.

Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
