THOMSON, Ga. - Sister Sallie M. Cramer of Thomson, was born May 7, 1920 in McDuffie County to the late Jerry Harris and Lonnie Mae Johnson Lewis.
On Saturday, August 12, 2006, God saw that it was time to take her from labor into rest.
She was joined into Holy Matrimony to the late Bernard Cramer. They were married for more than 50 years. One brother, Jimmy Lewis and one sister, Mamie Stephens, preceded her in death.
Ms. Cramer received her education in McDuffie County, Washington D.C. and Farrockaway, NY. She received her Nurses License as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York City. She joined the Jones Grove Baptist Church at an early age.
Ms. Cramer was loved by many nieces, nephews, sisters, cousins and friends. Memories are left to those that survived her, a devoted sister. Ms. Jonnie Mae Bradshaw, Dearing, Gerdie B. Johnson, Brooklyn, NY, godson, Donnie (Pricilla) Smith, Thomson, two aunts, Willie Eva Jordan and Mary Rose Harris, Thomson, a devoted niece Tammy Johnson, Dearing, a devoted caregiver, Eleanor Hardins, Thomson, and loving nieces, nephews and sorrowing friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 19, 2006, 3 p.m., Jones Grove Baptist Church, Thomson, with Rev. Robert. J. Mixon, eulogist.
Pinkston-Roberts Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
