THOMSON, Ga. - Funeral services for Mr. John "Jay" Lucas of Thomson, were held on Monday, August 21, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the House of God Church of God in Christ, Thomson, with Bishop Mark Walden officiating. Interment was in the Society Cemetery in Mesena.
Survivors are one son, Gene (Lillie) Lucas of Thomson; seven daughters, Carol (Otis) Reese, Darlene Moss, Zeroline (Johnny) Griffin, Barbara (Forest) Hampton, Betty Jean (Willie) McCord, Velma (Larry) Shelley, all of Thomson, Kathleen (Robert) Hall of Camak; 27 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
