THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Anthony "Tony" McTier, 49, of Thomson, entered into rest August 19, 2006.
Survivors include, wife, Susan Newberry McTier, Thomson; mother, Anna Lou Williford (J. W.), Thomson; daughters, Leah Uscanga, Lincolnton, Sabrina Bennett, Washington; sister, Elaine Register, Macon; grandchildren, Mikaela Uscanga, Diego Uscanga and Alli Bennet; nephews, Brandon and Steven Register, Macon; niece, Lauren Register, Macon.
Mr. McTier was born in Augusta, but lived most of his life in Thomson. He served seven years in the U. S. Army and worked for Temple-Inland for the past 20 years. Mr. McTier was preceded in death by his father Robert McTier.
Graveside Services were held at 11a.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2006, at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bobby Williford officiating. Pallbearers were Rogelio Uscanga, Brandon Register, Steven Register, David McTier, Raleigh Hardin and Richard Hardin.
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
