The Southeastern Junior Golf Tour will conduct the 2006 SJGT Belle Meade Junior Classic, Aug. 26-27, at the Belle Meade Country Club.
The two-day, 36-hole event will feature 90 players, boys and girls ages 12-18, representing four states.
The SJGT is a regional golf tour located in Auburn, Ala. It conducts more than 35 junior golf tournaments per calendar year in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina and Tennessee. Established in 1994, the SJGT has an annual membership of 1,200 junior golfers.
This will mark the second time the SJGT has had an event at Belle Meade, with the first coming in 2004. Steve Hocker was the Overall Male Champion in 2004 posting a 139, while Alina Lee took the Female Overall title with a 146.
Tee times are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. off the first and tenth tees at Belle Meade for both rounds. Player listings, tee times and results can be found at www.sjgt.com.
