Augusta Tech to show students educational alternatives

Augusta Technical College, McDuffie Campus will promote other colleges on Tuesday, Aug. 30 at a college fair held on the McDuffie Campus to encourage students to further their education.

Representatives from Augusta State University, Limestone College, Paine College, Southern Illinois University, Southern Wesleyan University, and Brenau Univeristy will have booths set up from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public.

"It's for anybody that would like to look at furthering their education, for our students going on to a bachelor's degree. If they want to find out more about the colleges, they'll be here with bells on with all their literature and stuff," said Evan Flynn, director of instructional services and continuing education. "It's an opportunity to explore higher education at its best."

The McDuffie Campus is also having an open house from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1 for information on programs at the Thomson location.

The McDuffie Campus is located at 388 Tech Drive NW in Thomson. Call 595-0166.
