Mr. Clifford Lewis Miles
Retired Columbia County Board of Education
HARLEM, Ga. - Mr. Clifford Lewis Miles, 90, husband of Mrs. Etta Mae Miles, of Harlem, entered into rest Wednesday, August 17, 2005, at his residence. Funeral services were held Friday, August 19, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Mount Tabor Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Renew and Rev. Mike Sutphin officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Miles, a native of Columbia County, was a retired bus driver for Columbia County Board of Education and attended Mount Tabor Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Etta Mae Knox Miles; five daughters, Sarah Thigpen, Swannee, Diane (Fred) Perry, Thomson, Wanda Miles, Harlem, Sandra (Elli) Torres, Martinez, and Pam (Michael) Hogue, Grovetown; and one daughter-in-law, Frieda Miles, Augusta; two sisters, Myrtle Morris, Harlem, and Eva Mae Williams, Dearing; and 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Michael Sheppard, Robert Miles, Jimmy Lewis, James Miles, Mark McLendon, and Robin Meads. Honorary Pallbearers were Billy Neal, Pete Allen, Wade Yarbrough, and Alton Davis.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Saint Joseph Hospice Care, 2260 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, GA 30904.
